He is the Global Digital Strategies Director for Wieden+ Kennedy, a cutting-edge advertising agency. In the video below he talks about the “404: Page not found” error and how to utilize the opportunity that this page gives. His expressive words have created a feeling of positivity from a very negative 404 page. He indirectly emphasis on turning every situation into an opportunity.
In the video he has defined the 404 page as “The 404 error is one of the most recognizable errors users can find on the web”. He explains the 404 page as a dead end which would lead to a broken relationship.
404 is actually an error which is from a family of errors. He goes ahead to explain that a 404 page is a global experience no matter what kind of site it is. He shares his view about a blank 404 page that appears in place of a nicely designed website. Slap! Slap!
How a good 404 Page can get a better user experience
A good 404 page leads to excellent user experience. There are sites out there who have actually designed a 404 page to amuse customers so that they do not get shooed away but continue to experience the other pages of the site. This is opportunity building. You never know when it could knock the door.
