google machineThe article is about a talk by Larry Page and Sergey Brin on Google. Sergey opens the talk by presenting Google as a global sphere of activity and how it links the continents across the globe. He explains it in the video with a very lovely application of the globe with colour coded beams protruding from the different parts which show activity in various parts.

They also talk about Google’s social initiatives and Google as a company itself.

Challenges Google faces :

Sergey went ahead with explaining the everyday challenges faced on a large scale by Google. The main part was about the data which is transferred all around the globe by various media such as fibres, satellites, etc. and their constant effort to reduce latency among the global connection.

He showed a moving image of one second of activity that happens on Google as traffic which comprised of just anything because they were user searches.

Google Foundation:

He explained about Google Foundation and its initiative to welcome sponsors for the charity foundations working within the framework of Google Foundation.

Google’s  stepping stones to success:

He finally talks about the past failures and how they have help build a today and continue to rediscover tomorrow. He added by taking the example of “Orkut”.

Larry Page starts explaining about how Google encourages conception small projects and over time they gain strength and speed and turn into a full time project. Example: Google News.

He also explains how Google is as a workplace.

The Future:

The future is moving fast towards Artificial Intelligence.
