Badoo is a free dating website that allows its subscribed members to connect with each other and chat and share videos and photographs. Badoo.com was launched in 2006 by a Russian entrepreneur Andrey Andreev. Today, Badoo.com has more than 170 million registered users from Europe, America and many other countries.
Badoo claims that it is the world’s fourth largest social network and is growing with the phenomenal pace of 125,000 new users every day; according to the article published in the London Loves Business. Badoo is available in 40 different languages like, Russian, English, Dutch, French, German, Greek and etc.
Badoo has created hundreds of jobs for the people all around the world and according to the statistics released by the administration of Badoo; they have approximately 200 global employees. Though Badoo is free for its user, it has been generating money through the subscription to its premium services and advertisements. For example, you can chat to ten people daily through your basic account but this limit can be increased by subscribing to Badoo’s premium services. These premium services are termed as super powers.
Andrey Andreev was born in Moscow and dropped out from the local university before starting up his first entrepreneurial venture. Andrey lived in Spain and Russia during the course of his life and finally settled down in London in 2005 and started a great social media website from there in 2006. In addition to Badoo, Andrey has started several other ventures like, SpyLog, Begun and Mamba.
